We've Heard From Aunt Dahlia!!

As most of you know, the idea for the binders for the LOCI actors was suggested by Aunt Dahlia. You can imagine our joy when we received a lovely e-mail from her congratulating us on the success of our project! Check it out below!

"Oh. My. Gosh.

First I'll start with the binders themselves. Wow! They are wonderful!! The time people took in creating their letters is so amazing. And the care Susan and the rest of you gave the letters and binders is just so touching. I'm amazed by it all. The cross-stitches, the evidence sheets, the goodies you put in all 3 binders, just fabulous! I loved seeing Rodgers' photo next to Antje's beautiful opera tickets! It was so much fun to witness everyone's creativity and to see the project come to its fruition. THANK YOU so much to Susan for taking the time to snap photos of the contents and to Hannah for posting them online.

Next up, the letter. First of all, let me just say how extremely ecstatic I am to know that the actors actually received their gifts. I know some contributors were worried they might not ever even get to the actors. I'm so glad for everyone's sakes (especially to "the crew") that we know they were received and most of all, appreciated. He wrote a wonderful letter, even taking the time to let us know Vincent and Kathryn would be delighted too (just in case we were never to hear from them). It's fun to read the trivia about him being the one to propose the Ross/Rodgers relationship. Again, I just love that letter he wrote.

I can't believe he sent you Ross's Major Case button!!! That is amazingly wonderful. Every time you watch a Ross episode you will see it! I think you 5 ladies need to make it The Sisterhood of the Traveling Major Case Button!

And last but certainly not least . . . what?! Susan delivered the binder to Vincent in person?! Thank you to Susan for writing the account of her evening out for all to enjoy. What a night! I'm so glad she was able to get it to him and that she and her patient spouse were rewarded with a meeting (and a kiss for Susan as the cherry on top!). It is satisfying to know he received it and loved it (how could he not?!). Thanks for the photos too. I see some genuine smiles on his face and being a fellow lefty I always liked watching Goren write on the show and I love the photos where he's signing the photos. All I can say is wow. Wow!!

So again, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your hard work and your creativity. You created something great! Stand up and take your bows, ladies, I'm giving you a standing ovation over here.

Take care ladies and enjoy the rest of the summer.

Best wishes to you all,

All my thanks,

Aunt Dahlia "

Thank YOU, Aunt Dahlia, for a great idea. We loved it, went with it, and we are SO glad we did!!

We've Heard From Eric Bogosian !!!

Yes, it’s true! Eric Bogosian was kind enough to acknowledge receipt of his binder with a lovely thank you letter and some exciting gifts for the binder crew! Check out his letter below!!

Here’s an example of one of the “call sheets”...

And a picture of the sweatshirt he sent us.

Needless to say, we are thrilled with his response! It isn’t often a star will take the time to recognize and thank his fans. What a kind and gracious man!

Thank you, Mr. Bogosian !!!

Once again, we’d like to express our gratitude to all of you letter writers, artists, and donors who contributed to the binders. Your participation, donations, and encouragement made it all happen! Thank you!

More Binder Sneak Peeks...

When the Binders were finished, Susan was thoughful enough to snap a few pictures before she mailed Kathryn's and Eric's and hand-delivered Vincent's. The pictures have been sitting on my desktop, but I've been rather busy at the university - I'm very sorry about the delay! This is merely a random assortment of the variety of letters we received, but we thought you might enjoy to have a little sneak peek!

If you're receiving this as an e-Mail update and cannot see the slideshow, follow the link to the blog.

Binders Received and Forwarded

Sorry we're a little slow getting this information out! Our apologies!

Kathryn Erbe's Binder and Eric Bogosian's Binder were shipped to their agencies June 2, received by June 8, and we have heard they were forwarded to the actors!

Art Imitating Life

We received this comment the other day from Anonymous and I thought it was so good we didn't want you to miss it. Especially in light of the confusion over the airing of Loyalty last night. Did anyone see the first part of Loyalty, or was it just me who missed it because I was totally messed up by my guide? I found golf and some other weird thing. NBC strikes out again in my book. CTV follows close behind.... Perhaps it's time for another postcard/email campaign.

Thanks to Anonymous for this post! Take a bow!

IMHO
Loyalty = art imitating life
Chief Moran = Network's PTB
Goren = VDO
Eames = KE
Ross = EB
The Chief/PTB wanted to get rid of Goren/VDO
The departure of Eames/KE and Ross/EB are casualties/collateral damages.
If this was clever or lame from the writers part, that's another story.
