Did we save them?

Just thought I'd drop in to share that we are all still alive and kicking.  Some of us watch Criminal Intent reruns unashamedly.  To some of us, it's a sweet memory and life has steamrollered on.

With the return of Stabler to the Law & Order world, is there a chance that Goren and Eames might return?  And if they do, will they make a mess of it?

Of course I'll watch it.  Was there any question?

Plus an excerpt of an Warren Leigh interview - Law & Order SVU Boss on Season 14: "Everybody Has Secrets"
By Adam Bryant, TV GUIDE

You're bringing Law & Order: Criminal Intent's Kathryn Erbe to your squad room this season. How did that happen?
Leight:
I did Criminal Intent for seven years. One of the things that's strange is SVU fans watch Law & Order and Criminal Intent fans watch Law & Order, but Criminal Intent fans do not watch SVU. There's not as much crossover between those shows as you might guess. And now that there's only one show left, I'd like to bring those fans together. When we started to plot the fourth episode, we needed a Homeland Security agent. I didn't want to just keep throwing new people into this mix, and our casting director said "What about your old friend Katie?" We were all like, "That's it. We're done."

So what is her role exactly?
Leight:
Once Katie said yes, we retooled the script a bit. The backstory is she worked the Major Case Unit for over a decade. Her partner left and she was looking for something new. She's on loan to Homeland Security on a joint terrorism task force, which is high stakes and her character can handle that. It was great to have scenes between Katie and Mariska. These are two women who had long-term partnerships with difficult guys. These are two people who've been underestimated - who've worked just as hard, just as long -and people don't quite get how good they are.

Is this a one-time thing, or will we see more of her?
Leight: She'll come back. I don't know exactly when, but she'll be coming back. Katie is so believable as an NYPD cop. The notion of bringing in someone new when she was just sitting there seems crazy to me. She's tough and she can be funny, but don't mess with her.

Alex Eames at 'Acceptable Loss'

The filming of SVU episode #4 'Acceptable Loss' has started. When you want to see Kathryn Erbe on set check OnLocationVacation in the next days. I can't wait to see the first photos.

Plus some more news posted at TV GUIDE on Tuesday.

I'm excited for Kathyrn Erbe to come to SVU. What can you tell me about her visit? - Jessica
ADAM:
Although Erbe's reprising her role as Detective Eames from Criminal Intent, she is now working with Homeland Security as part of a joint task force investigating terrorists. She'll meet up with Benson & Co. when the terrorists are connected to a sex-trafficking ring. Executive producer Warren Leight (who ran CI for several seasons) says he was struck by the characters' similarities. "These are two women who had long-term partnerships with difficult guys," Leight says. "These are two people who've been underestimated - who've worked just as hard, just as long -and people don't quite get how good they are." But those people will have ample opportunity to see what they've been missing: Leight promises Erbe will be back at least once later in the season.

Kathryn Erbe back again on screen as Alex Eames

Law & Order Scoop: Kathryn Erbe Bringing Criminal Intent's Eames to SVU This Fall!

by Michael Ausiello - tvline.com | August 14, 2012 11:00 AM PDT
Law & Order: SVU is welcoming a familiar face to the precinct this fall: Former Law & Order: Criminal Intent detective Kathryn Erbe. TVLine has learned that the actress will reprise her CI role of Alexandra Eames during SVU’s upcoming 14th season.
Det. Eames, now working for a joint City/Federal Homeland Security Task Force, crosses paths with the SVU squad when their investigation of a sex trafficking ring uncovers a connection to terrorists. Erbe, who spent a decade on Criminal Intent, is currently booked for one SVU episode (airdate TBD), but word is she will likely be back for more later in the season.

SVU‘s new season premieres on Sept. 26.

Goren vs Rodgers

We all remember those amusing moments with Goren in M.E. Rodgers exam room. He was constantly touching things, poking at the corpse, picking up severed hands and such. (The look on Rodgers face when he did that was priceless!)

Recently, I began following Leslie Hendrix on Twitter, and a comment she made in an email to a fellow Vincent fan prompted me to send her a Tweet. (See the blogpost containing the email here). Below is a screenshot of my Tweet and her response. Just like Rodgers, Leslie Hendrix ROCKS! :)

The Time Has Come...

Thank you to the many, many people who have sent tie clips and Skittles to USA Network and who have written to let us know.  You are awesome!  But we think the time has come to stop.

I think I've been procrastinating about this far too long;  that by writing this blog post, I am giving up on Criminal Intent.  Is that possible for any of us?

The powers that be have disassembled the set and sold all the props.  The actors have moved on.  We are so lucky to have had our Season 10.  Did you all notice how much lighter and brighter the production was?  We saw behind the scenes videos, interviews with the actors, a more expressive Goren and were treated to Twitter sessions with our beloved cast members.  Yes, we've been very lucky.
We know that Vincent has plans for a new television series, starring himself and Ethan Hawke, called Blue Tilt which we hope to see in production next year.  Chris Brancato, the show runner for S10 of Criminal Intent is also involved in Blue Tilt.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Criminal Intent Binder Project and the Tie Clips and Skittles Campaign! Our blog started in protest with the Fluff Campaign (first suggested by Nantz) and we never stopped. This has been our hearts' work and we hope we made a difference.  Your support fuelled our fire and it's been the most amazing experience.

If you follow the cast, you can visit the following blogs for up-to-date information on Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe's current projects:

Lovely Kathryn - by our own Antje who keeps us updated so well on Kathryn Erbe's public appearances.

(if you have a blog or page that you'd like to share with everyone, please add it by leaving a comment!)

Perhaps in a few years we'll get a Criminal Intent movie! In the meantime, see you at the reruns!

Without Criminal Intent,
Susan, Barbi, Antje, Hannah and Suzanne

We leave you with the following clip from Vincent and Kathryn.
